Olesea: Though we couldn't meet in person at IGB Barcelona this year, we’ve always admired Playamo's approach and innovation in the iGaming industry. It’s great to finally connect with you! To kick things off, could you tell us how Playamo began? What inspired the idea behind the platform?

Oleg: PlayamoPartners was created with a clear vision: to build a performance-driven brand where product quality, player experience, and long-term partnerships work in sync. From the beginning, we focused on sustainable growth rather than short-term gains, prioritising trust, transparency, and precision in everything we do.

That same philosophy defines PlayamoPartners today – we see affiliates not as traffic sources but as strategic partners, and we invest in relationships that stand the test of time.

Olesea: Playamo has become quite a significant name in the iGaming scene. Could you walk us through the journey from concept to launch? What were some of the key milestones in building Playamo?
Oleg

Oleg: PlayamoPartners started in 2015 with a clear strategic objective: to build a brand driven by product quality, operational precision, and sustainable growth. From concept to launch, our focus was on creating scalable platforms with strong technical foundations and a clear market positioning.

Key milestones included expanding into new markets, strengthening our product portfolio, and building a high-performing affiliate ecosystem. Each stage of growth was guided by the same principle — long-term partnerships over short-term wins. Now we have 17 brands and more than 10 000 partners!

Olesea: How many products does Playamo currently offer, and could you name a few of them? What sets Playamo’s offerings apart from others in the market?
Oleg

Oleg: We currently manage a portfolio of 17 brands, including casino and sportsbook operators such as GranaWin and 20Bet, each strategically positioned for scalable, performance-driven growth.

Among our newest launches, DragonSlots stands out with a strong visual identity, diverse game portfolio, and retention-focused mechanics designed to maximise long-term value across competitive markets. GranaWin, in turn, is built around speed, clarity, and seamless payments — delivering a smooth, reliable user experience across devices.

20Bet remains our established international brand, combining sportsbook and casino in a fully localised model with native currencies and region-specific payment solutions to drive consistent global performance.

Olesea: Bonus strategies seem to be a key part of player engagement. Can you share how Playamo designs its bonus structures and how they’re tailored to attract and retain customers?
Oleg

Oleg: Bonus strategy is indeed a critical lever — but at PlayAmo, it’s never about volume alone.

We design our bonus structures around player lifecycle logic: acquisition offers built for strong first-time conversion, followed by segmented retention mechanics based on behaviour, value, and engagement patterns. Rather than overloading users with generic promotions, we focus on clarity, achievable mechanics, and sustainable incentives that encourage repeat activity without eroding long-term value.

In parallel, we continuously test and optimise performance across markets to ensure that our bonus models support both player satisfaction and strong partner ROI.

Olesea: When it comes to balancing retention and compliance, how do you strike the right mix?
Oleg

Oleg: Balancing retention and compliance starts with structure. For us, compliance is not a limitation — it’s a framework that ensures sustainable growth and protects both the brand and our partners.

We design retention mechanics that are transparent, clearly communicated, and aligned with local regulatory requirements. Every campaign is built with responsible marketing principles in mind, ensuring that engagement strategies remain sustainable rather than aggressive.

The result is a model where player trust, regulatory integrity, and long-term value work together — not against each other.

Olesea: In your experience, what works better for player acquisition and long-term loyalty: Welcome bonuses or free spins? And why do you think that is?
Oleg

Oleg: From our experience, welcome bonuses and free spins serve different purposes within the acquisition and retention.

Welcome bonuses typically perform better for initial conversion. They create a strong value proposition at the moment of decision-making. When a player compares multiple brands, a well-structured welcome package increases reg-to-dep conversion and FTD size. However, for long-term loyalty, free spins mechanics tend to be more effective. Especially when distributed through missions, tournaments, or loyalty programs. They create continuous engagement loops without heavily impacting margins. Why? Because loyalty is not built on a one-time financial incentive. It is built on habit formation, entertainment value, and emotional engagement. Free spins tied to gamification, achievements, or personalised offers drive repeat visits and session frequency much better than static deposit bonuses. So in short: Welcome bonuses = acquisition driver Free spins + gamification = retention and lifetime value driver. The key is balance and smart segmentation.

Oleg: Several directions are shaping the next phase of iGaming, and we’re actively exploring them.

First, personalisation powered by real-time data. Static bonus pages are no longer enough. Players expect tailored experiences. Dynamic offers, smart game recommendations, and adaptive loyalty rewards. Second, gamification ecosystems. Not just simple missions, but full reward economies – points, tokens, exchanges, seasonal campaigns, and competitive layers. This significantly increases engagement without relying solely on bonus burn. Third, UX simplification. The industry is moving away from overloaded interfaces toward cleaner, frictionless journeys. Faster registration, fewer clicks to deposit, smoother mobile experience. Fourth, crypto and alternative payment expansion. Crypto-native users behave differently – they value speed, transparency, and minimal friction. Designing flows specifically for them is becoming increasingly important. And finally, operational efficiency through automation – CRM triggers, smart segmentation, and predictive analytics. In a competitive market, innovation is no longer about bigger bonuses. It’s about smarter ecosystems.

Olesea: From your perspective, what do players value most when choosing an online casino? Is it the variety of games, bonuses, customer support, or something else entirely?
Oleg

Oleg: It depends on the player segment, but fundamentally players value trust and experience over anything else.

Bonuses may attract attention. Game variety may create initial interest. But what retains players is:

In mature markets, players are highly educated. They compare RTPs, bonus conditions, and withdrawal times. So I would summarise it like this: Attraction = offers and branding Retention = trust, product quality, and seamless UX In the long run, operational credibility wins over aggressive marketing.

Olesea: It’s been insightful learning about Playamo’s journey, strategies, and products today. Before we wrap up, what’s next for Playamo? Any exciting plans or goals you’re working towards in the near future?

Oleg: Our next focus is on strengthening product depth rather than simply expanding horizontally.

We are working on:

  • Enhancing our loyalty and gamification ecosystem
  • Improving personalization across the player journey
  • Optimizing mobile-first experience
  • Expanding strategic partnerships with game providers

Additionally, we are refining internal product processes to move faster and deliver value more consistently. Our goal is sustainable growth – not just higher acquisition numbers, but stronger lifetime value and healthier player relationships. We see long-term success coming from product excellence, not promotional pressure.
